YES...it is safe for her to take Vicodin.....as long as it is prescribed and she/he does not go beyond the recommended dosage.

It's Vicodin and pain relief is generally obtained from OTC as well as prescription pain relievers. However, your friend's doctor knows her current condition best and should be the one to advise a specific pain medication. DO NOT dispense ANYTHING to her without her doctor's knowledge and approval.
