What do i do when my girl friend and I have to break up b/c of the mom?

okay, so the mom is somewhat crazy (she tries to get guys her duaghter's age). She is very controlling of her duaghter and told her daughter that i was bad b/c i'm not the guy she wanted her to date.....i had moved on untill the duaghter started calling me and telling me she still loved me and stuff idk what to do...people tell me to say see YA!!! but this girl and I really really clicked.....

What do i do when my girl friend and I have to break up b/c of the mom?
Well for starters, if you click or click! I know from experience, most couples don't listen to their parents. I would go out with the guy wither way. My life, my choice. Although, my parents never told me I couldn't date a certain person, they just wouldn't let them come to the house if they didn't like them.





I would first see if you wanna go through that for a girl. Is she worth it to you? If yes, then make time for her and try to make her Mom like you. Give her a reason to see you are not a dog or whatever it is that she don't like you for.
Reply:This same situation happened with me, except i was the younger girl and the guy was older and his mom couldnt handle it. We ended up breaking up because of it, it was just too much to deal with for both of us. It sucks but sometimes its best even though its hard. You may need to let it go until her mom can be more accepting.
Reply:I'm going through a similar problem. My parents try to control who I date. At first I listened, but then after awhile it got rediculous because there is a guy I really like. He's not bad either or anything. They just don't like... shall we say... interacial relationships. I don't judge people like that, so I refuse to listen to them anymore. I think you should do the same because as long as YOU and HER are happy, who cares what anyone else thinks. For awhile there I was making my parents happy by dating guys they liked, which is rediculous. So like I said, do what makes you guys happy, not her mother.

Reply:Well if you are both older then 18 then it really doesn't matter what the mom says. Respect her but what can you do. If you are under 18 you need to respect the mom and tell your GF to wait till you guys are 18.

she's probably jealous that her daughter has a great guy and she don't!
Reply:Its best to move on and find another GF, when the mother hates you they will make it miserable for you. Just move on find another GF.
