I recently broke up with my girlfriend. A good friend of mine has a really cute friend who invited me to her party. I think she's single (but I don't know.) We know each other okay but not well. how can I find out if she invited me (perhaps at the suggestion of my friend) because she want to distract me from having broken up with my girlfriend or (perhaps also at the suggestion of my friend) because I am newly single? urgent. I leave for the party in about an hour.

Well, if she pays a lot of attention to you and doesn't leave your side except to go to the bathroom, she's probably interested. If she just makes sure you're ok, she's probably not.
