A friend of mine had a c section today and they had complications so they had to cut her twice.?

What does that mean, did they cut her in 2 different places?? Will she be in a lot of pain? Baby was fine a healthy baby boy 8lbs 10oz.

When you get a c - section they can cut u in two places one is under your belly in a line like this ---- the other is on top of the belly like this | thats what they might meant i dont know why they did it twice and im not sure if one is more painful or not i do know they say 1 leaves a worst scar then the other and the pain part from what i heard all c section are a little painful after some last longer then the other just be there for your friend and help her she going to need it for a lil bit. but good thing baby healthy and thats all that matters.
Reply:I had a c section with my son and I thought it was wonderful. It was hard to get up and walk afterwards but they give you pain meds so it's not that bad. I am glad that I didn't have to experience labor. Tell her congradulations and best of luck! Also, I had a hard time picking up my son for a week or so because it put strain on my incision. You could help her with some of the tasks of taking care of her child for a little while.
Reply:they should have cut her in the same place and yes she will be in alot of pain but they should give her something for it
Reply:When something like this happen they usually re open the first incision. And I really think that she will be in pain. But I'm 100% sure that the Md will prescribe her som pain killers.
